Jump in, sit down and lets go for a ride !!

Take one original 1971 Barracuda, 318 automatic, NO fender tag, NO broadcast sheet, NO drivetrain, and what is one supposed to do you ask ?

Why not upgrade it with a modern Gen III  Hemi backed by a new Tremec TKX 5 speed transmission  supplied by Silver Sport Transmission  of course.

Watch for the full list of goodies to come.

With the car completely stripped down, some holes welded up and some new holes drill....it's time for media blasting.

Fishburn/Proctor in Rockwood ON made quick work of the media blasting and made all that red disappear ....Not too many hidden surprises either, which is always nice...

Coming off a strong win with the purple convertible, the crew at Saunders  Customs  is now attacking this car....Cleaning up the underneath was really all the metal work it needs...

Now on to the body and paint work...

Can't wait to see what they do with this one...

With all the body work finalized, and the first coats of sealer and high build primer now applied, let the blocking begin !

Straight as an arrow now !  Up next is multiple coats of in your face FJ6 Sassy Grass green....
The crew at Saunder's Customs are barreling right along!

Working on some of the custom features I'll be adding to the car.... Here we have a Champion 4 row aluminum radiator, The newest from Dakota Digital RTX gauges with outside temp/direction etc... SilverSport supplied the direct fit TKX 5speed transmission.
Out back is the complete kit from Reilly Motor Sports  holding up a stout Mopar 8.75 rear axle shod with Wilwood disc brakes. The heart of the beast...the 6.4l 392 Hemi supplied by Georgetown Chrysler....sitting on the RMS front suspension as well...

SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT ......
Go GREEN..... Yea Baby....

Looking fantastic....

Modern upgrades include headlights from Dapper Lighting, with halo rings to be used as daytime running lights....

That green is going to PoP !

The professional crew at Saunders Customs have done an outstanding job applying the gleaming coats of FJ6 sassy Grass Green paint.

Now the fun starts, first step to reassembly is to mask everything up and paint the "factory OE Style" black-out...

Now the REAL  fun starts....
First up is the Street Lynx Rear suspension supplied by Reilly Motorsports. The factory reproduction elastomeric front and rear bumpers come from Tommy The Chryco...Beautiful pieces....

You can never have "too much" Dyna-mat, not sure if it will help keep the cockpit cool on a convertible though...LoL

Up front is the crate Hemi supplied by Georgetown Chrysler, backed by the Silver Sport TKX 5 speed transmission...

Scott Davis came through with an incredible convertible top install...again !

Dante at Budget Exhaust in Burlington ON did a fantastic custom 2.5" stainless steel exhaust system. Look for these custom systems on all my future resto-mod builds...I love it !

Interior all buttoned up. Custom Cipher bucket seats with the original rear seat recovered to match by John Wilke.
Dakota Gauges, custom wheel round out the nice clean look I was after....

Underneath doesn't look too shabby either....

All Done ! Ready for a long Summer of cruising..................
